Your name was selected at random from a jury list of adult reservation residents, as certified by the Quinault Business Committee.
.How much is the compensation for jury service?
The compensation for jury service is $15.00 a day and mileage reimbursed at the standard government rate.
.Where do I report?
A sign in sheet will be located outside of the Clerk’s office.
.How long will I be at the courthouse?
There can be some variation depending on the case you are serving on. Most trials take a full day and can potentially take up to two days.
.Where do I have lunch?
You will be instructed not to talk about the case and excused for the lunch break.
.How do I get excused from jury duty?
Please put your request in writing, separate from the jury questionnaire you received and turn it into the Clerk’s office. All requests to be excused are reviewed and are decided on by the Chief Judge.
If you have health issues and wish to be permanently removed, please obtain a doctor’s note simply stating that they would like you to be “permanently removed due to health issues.”
There is no need for divulging your medical records.
