Welcome to the Quinault Tribal Court

QIN has a robust Tribal Court operating as its judicial branch. The Nation’s Court Services are overseen by the Honorable Leona Colegrove, who is supported in this office by three appellate judges, a court manager, two court clerks. The court processes all civil and criminal cases that fall within the Jurisdiction of the QIN.

  • Civil: The civil matters heard in the court include but are not limited to divorce, guardianship, custody, child support, determination of paternity, name change, business contracts, personal injury, probate of non-trust property, and traffic citations/infractions.
  • Criminal: The Quinault tribal court's procedures shall determine the requirements for communication regarding adult criminal matters in tribal court proceedings. Criminal cases include misdemeanor cases involving Indians that occur within Tribal jurisdiction.
  • Juvenile court: Child Dependency cases, juvenile offenses, and truancy vision.
