New Staff or Community Member Positives:
All QIN/QNEB staff need to report their newly positive case to ext. 2 or 4 of the call center AND be lab PCR tested by our testing team.
Once reported, a case investigator will reach out to complete case investigation.
If you are a QIN tribal member or a QIN tribal member lives in your home, a medical monitor will be assigned to reach out daily until your release from isolation.
If you are not a QIN Tribal member household, ICT will send staff an email with information regarding work return, CP leave, and any masking mandates.
CP Leave (COVID Pay Leave) & Supervisors/HR:
The Quinault Indian Nation approves CP Leave to QIN staff who report their positive COVID test and also obtain a lab PCR with our testing team.
CP leave is also provided to any staff who needs to care for their child who tests positive (one parent at one time).
If there are two parents who work for QIN, the leave may be split between parents during their child’s isolation period.
A QIN staff member is identified when test is reported, during testing registration, and/or through case investigation.
Once identified, ICT will send a CP Leave notice directly to HR and Finance regarding the QIN employee’s CP start date; HR will then forward the CP notice to the employee’s Supervisor.
In addition, staff are required to keep their supervisors up to date on their situation.
An email notice will be sent to staff directly upon release, with work return date, final CP dates, and any masking mandates.
Close Contacts:
There is currently no requirements for close contacts. During case investigations with a positive person, staff gathers potential close contacts to the positive during their contagious period.
Staff will then reach out to those identified as close contacts to share information and recommended testing dates. General rule of thumb: if you are symptomatic, please test.
