The QNHC was chosen to spear head the 150-year celebration of the signing of the Quinault River Treaty July 1, 1855 to July 1, 2005. This year during the fourth July, we have many events planned; Canoe Races, Paddle races, Parade, Boxing two nights, Traditional Games and Field Sports, Water Sports, Loggers Show, Log Rolling, Bonegames, etc. Within the park will be a Fish Pit Shed, four Vendor houses, benches and picnic tables, trees and native plants. A bronze cast of Joe DelaCruz and plaques honoring members of the council, history on Joe, names of the treaty signers, donation plaque and a bronze cast of the QIN logo. The QNHC is requesting donations to assist in cost of building the Memorial Park and other Fourth of July activities. All donations and volunteers who contribute to the park, will have their names inscribed on a separate plaque erected at the park. The QNHC would like all Brick donations submitted by May 31st but will continue to accept donations through the month of June. We respectfully request that your donation be a minimum of $20.00 but gladly accept amounts beyond this amount. If you prefer, you may designate your contribution between categories and/or activities. 4th July Events: To cover over cost of the forth July events, boxing, canoe races, bone games, loggers show, log rolling, etc. Brick Donation: $10.00 for brick and $15.00 for name engraved.
